Parkside Grove’s Lilliput Library is there to encourage whānau and tamariki to enjoy literacy learning together, in ways that feel simple, warm, and easy to keep going at home.
Lilliput Library
Reading together is one of the strongest ways to build oral language, listening, imagination, and connection. The library gives families another gentle way to stay involved in their child’s learning.
The centre’s literacy focus is visible in everyday spaces too, with books, stories, print, and conversation all playing a valued part in the programme.
Within an enabling environment, children are curious about language sounds and print.
